The examination and identification of food items and agricultural products that have been altered through genetic technologies constitute the focus of GMO detection laboratories. Within these laboratories, samples of food products or raw materials undergo scrutiny. Subsequently, employing various techniques such as Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and other molecular methods, specific genes indicative of genetic modifications in the samples are discerned. more .
