Research Interests
- Production of a novel peroxidase by cell culture of Alkanna frigida . 3D structure obtained via mass analysis, cDNA synthesis, and homology modeling.
- Using 2-amino-5-hydroxy pyrimidine derivatives, a potential lead structure was introduced to synthesize more specific inhibitors of various tyrosinases.
- Solanum tuberosum polyphenol oxidase was purified and its 3D structure of PPOsol was modeled. PPOsol showed mixed-inhibition mode.
- Showing a non-specific binding site that works as a regulatory site on tyrosinase may explain the controversial effects of various modulators including arbutin.
- Results of the kinetics studies led us to propose the existence of an allosteric/regulatory site on tyrosinase .
- A novel durable peroxidase with an exceptional affinity for phenolic compounds, especially chlorophenols was obtained from the cell culture of Oregano vulgare .
- Cinnamic acid derivatives pathway is active in the cell culture of Boraginacea plants such as Lithospermum officinale.
- Simultaneous use of ozone and UV is introduced as an efficient and cost-effective method for treating these groundwater resources.
- Hybrid xerogels adsorb phenolic compounds from aqueous media.
- A rapid spectrophotometric assay method for peroxidase, based directly on the consumption of a chromophoric diazo substrate, was developed.
- A guaiacol diazo derivative (GASA) was used as substrate in the coupled-enzymatic assay of glucose .
- A new class of diazo cross-linkers that easily inserts the aromatic diazo moiety into the target material was introduced.
- The assumption of the cytosine ring cleavage under ordinary nitrosative stress has been questioned.
- Successful indirect regeneration of Arnebia pulchra (Roemer and Schultes), a shikalkin producing plant.
- Lithospermum officinale extract exhibited anti-inflammatory effects on activated microglia much higher than caffeic acid.
- Nonea caspica is rich source of flavonoids.
- A novel open-flow spray bioreactor (OFSB) for plant callus proliferation was developed.
