31st ICGEB Board of Governors Meeting Held in New Delhi

The 31st Session of the Board of Governors of the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) took place in New Delhi, India, on May 14–15, 2025, with representatives from over 45 member countries in attendance.

Dr. Kamahldin Haghbeen, Head of the Center for International Scientific Collaborations at Iran’s National Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (NIGEB), participated as NIGEB’s representative. During the sessions, he presented NIGEB’s perspectives and held meetings with key ICGEB officials, including: Professor Lawrence Banks, ICGEB Director General, and Professor Emanuele Buratti, ICGEB Scientific Coordinator. Discussions centered on strengthening bilateral cooperation between NIGEB and ICGEB.

The summit provided NIGEB with a valuable opportunity to engage with ICGEB’s global network, particularly its New Delhi component, marking a new phase in NIGEB’s international scientific collaborations.
